The highly anticipated finale was held on Sunday, September 27, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Adewusi’s performance throughout the competition earned her the crown, with pageant organisers, Silverbird, highlighting her confidence, intelligence, elegance and dedication to social impact.
She eventually secured the title after the contestants faced the final question-and-answer segment of the competition.
The crown was presented to Adewusi by Guy Murray-Bruce, President of the Silverbird Group and National Director of Miss Universe Nigeria, at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Following her victory, Adewusi will represent Nigeria at the 75th Miss Universe Festival, scheduled to take place on November 24 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Miss Universe Nigeria 2026 Top 10
The top 10 contestants at the competition were:
- Danielle Adewusi — Lagos
- Anita Osikhena — Edo
- Myya Jones — Cross River
- Melissa Toghanro — Delta
- Oluwafunmibi Ajaja — Ekiti
- Benedicta Iferike — Abuja
- Chidinma Oluku — Abia
- Precious Chinah — Rivers
- Eno Idungafa — Akwa Ibom
- Edidiong Udoidua — Ebonyi
Although Adewusi took home the overall crown, Anita Osikhena, Myya Jones, Oluwafunmibi Ajaja and Melissa Toghanro joined her in the final top four.
Osikhena also had a successful night after winning the Pitch Your Dream Competition. Her prize included ₦1 million from Yolo Island and a two-night, all-expenses-paid stay at Yolo Island Beach Resort.
She also received the Best Advocacy Project award, which came with ₦500,000 and a one-year supply of Golden Penny products.
Adewusi’s coronation now begins her reign as Miss Universe Nigeria 2026, with the Lagos beauty queen set to carry Nigeria’s representation to the international Miss Universe stage later this year.
